Comfort Food – n. Food that is simply prepared and associated with a sense of home or contentment.

Everyone has a comfort food… chocolate cake, meatloaf, mac & cheese. For me, my comfort foods are a big ole icy Coke and a big bowl of chips and salsa! (said with a thick Texas drawl) Most of my meals growing up came from a drive thru and my first jobs were at Tex-Mex restaurants, must be the reason for the strong connection.

So, now I have a confession to make…

I am on a first name basis with the drive thru operator at Jack-in-the-Box, Kevin, and when I go through the lane at Taco Bueno alone, they ask me where the boys are…. embarrassing, hu??

And if you ever need to know which car mine is… it’s the one with the drive thru cup.
